Starting in the operator's chair

The before-state was staff mediation, top to bottom. Work orders and receipts handled mostly by email or fax; a dispatcher on the phone with dray, rail, air, and forwarders just to get a status. What operators told me, in their own words: "I need to put it in the system myself, I don't want to call every time, especially for hazmat." "All the docs in one place, easily sorted." "Excel filtering on all the grids." The through-line pain was cross-silo: handoffs, data dependencies, and no shared visibility.

We mapped the people Neo caters to as four main personas — Maddy on import/export compliance, George on logistics forwarding, Mirabel on finance, Ivan in the product warehouse — plus a fifth above them all: the BCO's C-suite, who wants the high-level overview of every one of those aspects at once. That one diagram up top is the true overview of Neo; each case study below is one of its branches.
