Designer, engineer, and worldbuilder in San Francisco.

I’m a systems thinker with a designer’s hands: a founding-level product designer and UX engineer who designs the thing and then builds it, in React, Python, and FastAPI. Give me a messy, unsolved problem and I’ll turn it into software people actually feel good using. I care about the craft of design the way an architect cares about load-bearing walls, and these days I’m loud about one thing in particular: design thinking, powered by AI, with values driving the design and not the other way around. I was the first designer at several AI-native startups, one acquired by Microsoft.

The personal file: I’ve lived in five countries and never stopped exploring cultures and their histories. I’m obsessed with architecture in every sense of the word. Castles, because they were cleverly built to defend and attack at the same time, which might be the best design brief ever written. And agent and product architecture, because the same question applies: what does this structure protect, and what does it make possible?

A whole creative life runs in parallel: I’ve exhibited art in San Francisco, Moscow, and Kuala Lumpur, and I’m writing a novel (Moon). It all sneaks back into the products, where I love a well-placed bit of gamification, because sometimes we shouldn’t be too serious. Imagination feeds design, design feeds engineering, and engineering feeds back into imagination. That loop is the whole point of this city.

Environments shape how people feel. Interfaces are environments.

Every place has a genius loci — a spirit of the place, a feeling you can’t quite name but absolutely notice. Interfaces have one too. So this site isn’t a résumé laid flat; it’s a city you can walk. The map you arrived on, its light and weather, the districts and the vines between them — they’re meant to reflect a real state, not a static brand. An environment you feel your way through, because that’s exactly what I believe design is.

I run tech events in San Francisco. It started with me attending hackathons and falling in love with the energy in those rooms, and now I want more people to feel it: how awesome these events are, and how creative you can get with AI. So I host demos and workshops, organize with The Club SF, and ran the World Model Hackathon at Fort Mason. If any of this resonates, I’d love to talk.
