IntelleXt

IntelleXt was an early-stage AI startup building a contract intelligence and negotiation platform, with NLP that reads contract language, extracts clauses and obligations, and flags risk. I was the founding designer. In practice, the job looked like this:

• –User interviews and research with legal teams, contract managers, and procurement, the people who would have to trust the machine.
• –Client demo meetings, including helping prep the demo to Rolls-Royce and sitting in on it, then feeding what we heard straight back into the product.
• –Significant improvements to the flows and information architecture, driven directly by those client and user conversations.
• –A deep dive into the world of dashboards, and into designing the trust layer of AI: confidence, evidence, explainability.
• –Handing off the entire UX architecture to engineering, communicating closely with the dev team and learning how the language models underneath actually worked. In 2020, that was about as cutting edge as it got.
• –Branding and merch, from the identity and presentation templates to the marketing website.
