Hi there!

I’m Kate Huezo — UX strategist, AI-native designer, and logistics problem-solver.

I help startups and enterprise teams turn complex workflows into beautifully simple products. From appointment scheduling for ports and railways to AI-powered dashboards and assistants, I design experiences that reduce friction, boost retention, and actually make sense to the humans using them.

When I’m not deep in flows or vibecoding, you’ll find me at SF/Silicon Valley events, testing ideas with founders, chatting with engineers, and documenting everything on my blog.

What I Do

UX isn’t just a pretty Figma flow. It’s the bridge between your vision and your users’ reality.
I help you translate your product’s core idea into a journey that feels effortless — for your team, your investors, and your audience.

How I Work

BCO warehousing multi user flow

Strategic and stakeholder-minded design.

I’ve pitched ideas, built from zero, and juggled deadlines, devs, and product dreams. So every project starts the same way: with a conversation — about your users, your market, and the shape of the business you want to build.

Then I help you turn it into a focused plan that actually is result driven.

  • Every button, hesitation, or scroll tells a story. I look at your product through the lens of cognitive load, motivation, and trust. Why do users drop off here? What makes them feel safe to continue? Using behavioral psychology and design patterns that align with real human instincts, I turn friction points into flow states — so users stay engaged naturally.

  • Great UX is useless if it can’t be built. My background in complex B2B and logistics systems means I design within the real constraints of APIs, data, and development cycles. I collaborate closely with engineering to make sure your designs don’t just look beautiful in Figma — they’re scalable, maintainable, and ready to ship without slowing down your roadmap.

  • Your product isn’t just solving a problem — it’s changing how someone feels about that problem. I help founders define that story: what the user believes before they sign up, what they experience when they use it, and what they tell others afterward. This narrative becomes your north star — guiding interface tone, copy, onboarding, and even investor storytelling.

Why Hire Me?

10+ years designing AI, logistics, and SaaS products — from early-stage startups to complex enterprise platforms for ports, rails, and global supply chains. I specialize in simplifying complex workflows and designing for operational clarity.

I hold a master’s degree from UC Berkeley in art and psychology, which means I think a lot about how people feel, decide, and behave — and how interfaces quietly guide all of that.

At the same time, I’ve sat with PMs, engineers, and ops teams long enough to know how roadmap, tech constraints, and release cycles really work. I design with developers in mind.

My work spans:

  • AI is powerful — but power without clarity overwhelms users.
I help AI and SaaS founders translate complex features into intuitive experiences that build trust, not confusion.

When you’re introducing automation, personalization, or an agentic workflow, the first impression matters most. Onboarding, empty states, and microcopy aren’t cosmetic; they’re the difference between retention and drop-off.

    Together, we’ll:

    • Map out the user journey from “What does this do?” to “I can’t live without this.”

    • Design flows that teach your product through action, not tutorials.

    • Build scalable design systems that make it easy to expand as you grow.

Outcome: A product that feels smart — not intimidating — and an onboarding experience that converts curiosity into habit.

  • I come from the logistics world — so I know what it’s like when one click can move millions of dollars in cargo.
B2B systems often drown users in dashboards, acronyms, and endless dropdowns. I help simplify all that noise into decision-friendly interfaces that empower teams instead of exhausting them.

    This means:

    • Clarifying how data is visualized, surfaced, and acted upon.

    • Creating role-based UX that matches how real users work, not how databases are structured.

    • Turning operational workflows into clear, confident actions.

Whether it’s an enterprise-grade TMS or a new B2B SaaS tool, I design with both the developer reality and the human mindset in mind.

Outcome: Faster adoption, reduced training time, and happier teams who finally feel in control of their tools.

  • We’re entering an era where interfaces talk back — literally.
But conversational AI and generative systems need a design layer that feels human enough to trust, yet structured enough to guide.

For founders building creative or emotional AI tools — from agentic apps to ambient dashboards — I help craft experiences that balance logic and emotion.

    This includes:

    • Designing adaptive interfaces that shift tone and behavior based on context.

    • Establishing personality frameworks for agents and AI-driven assistants.

    • Building multimodal design systems where text, motion, and emotion work together.

Outcome: A product that feels alive — not robotic — and creates real emotional connection with its users.

Why It Works

Because UX is empathy turned into systems.
It’s how you build trust while you scale.
And when done right, it’s the difference between a product that looks good and one that lives on people’s home screens.

With 12+ years in product design across AI, logistics, and SaaS, I’ve helped founders turn investor slides into functioning products, and legacy systems into decision-friendly platforms.

Let’s make your product make sense — beautifully.

My purpose is to humanize complex systems with emotionally intelligent design.
Rooted in user psychology, global experience, and a touch of rebellion, I bring clarity to chaos — whether in enterprise logistics or creative SaaS storytelling. My approach bridges art, technology, and empathy, solving real-world problems with elegance and intention.
